Kim Kardashian Rocks the Vote, Chanel Chain Sunnies

ike Lindsay Lohan before her, Kim Kardashian has taken to donning the Chanel trademark leather interwoven chain handle across her face.

Chanel Chain Now Available for Eyewear

f there's one person who I can picture wanting a trademark Chanel chain across her face, its Lindsay Lohan. [Remember the 2008 Cruise collection?]

Now the signature strap has made its way to sunglasses, the Chanel CC4160Q's, and Ms. Lohan was photographed wearing them in L.A. a few weeks ago.

Color Me Surprised

am many things, but a Kirsten Dunst fan I am not. But, if I'm honest, I have to say her effort for Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 08 is the most successful celebrity fashion campaign I've seen in ages.

Sure, I love all things Alice in Wonderland-inspired, but this campaign certainly put the house's former face, Lindsay Lohan, to shame. Well played. (I'm still not netflixing "Elizabethtown," though.)

ittle miss "Dare to Love Me" Lindsay Lohan is a regular L.A. Renaissance Woman these days, with nary a post-Cirque club visit in sight.

She's been sporting the Tom Ford Margaux sunglasses, which you may remember first seeing on Kate Beckinsale.

The Cat's Me-Ow

lle magazine's "duckling-turned-swan" overhaul now well underway, I find myself compelled by a magazine I was accustomed to snoring through, if I bothered at all.





This month brings us some really on-point articles, including, but not limited to: a profile of Rodarte's Laura and Kate Mulleavy, "Dream Weavers"; a behind-the-scenes look at Chanel's blockbuster Resort 2008 collection (as seen on Ms. Lindsay Lohan with Uncle Karl, who wore his trademark Chrome Hearts sunglasses); and a week's wardrobe consisting entirely of High Street finds, styled by Nina Garcia.

But I digress! More to the point, Elle featured loads and loads of wonderful sunglasses throughout the magazine. Love.

I always enjoy the voyeuristic description of what the cover model personally wore to the set (a la Pixie Geldof and Ashley Olsen) and Scarlett Johansson was no exception. I would have predicted black Ray-Ban Wayfarers for ScarJo, but was pleasantly surprised to learn she was sporting the up-and-coming cat-eye trend:

Maybe its just a fun change of pace, but I am loving the Peggy Guggenheim look right now; thank you, John Galliano. Although, to be fair, Luella was on point a full season ahead of the curve.

Ms. Johansson's Tom Ford Anouk sunnies are a perfect choice. They're available in black and tortoise for $300 at Saks.

Elle is for Lohan

inally got my hands on Lindsay Lohan's profile in the newly revamped Elle: "Girl on Fire". I signed up for an annual subscription shortly thereafter.

fter reviewing the Chloé eyewear collection, it occurred to me that I had seen several of them on our resident sunglasses junkie, La Lo.

YSL Muse Ironically Inspires Sunglasses

s you well know, I am pretty singularly focused in my fashion. My knowledge of "IT bags" is pretty limited to what I see on other blogs, but even I am aware (and in awe) of Yves Saint Laurent's Muse bag.


After all, its graced the arms of Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss (see below), Sienna Miller, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Madonna, Jessica Alba, Naomi Watts, Paris Hilton, Demi Moore, et al. It may, in fact, be easier to catalog which celebrities don't have them.

But Yves caught my eye when I noticed that he is now issuing sunglasses inspired by the Muse phenomenon, which echo the bags' gold hinges.

ight about now, I think we could all go for a brief respite from all the glamour and poise of Fashion Week. Below, please find the antidote.

I'm not sure what it is about a lady in her curlers in public, but it will never fail to make me chuckle. An underage star fresh out of rehab smoking away in her curlers? Just what I was looking for.

We've seen these Dior Aviadior 1 shades on Ms. Lohan before. [See: Anglomania] But I like to see such a noted clotheshorse recycle a piece -- it makes me feel as though the sunglasses are actually her possession, not something tossed at her by a harried stylist.

ittle miss Lindsay Lohan's Miu Miu campaign pictures continue to roll off the presses, as she gets so fresh and so clean clean at Wonderland. The latest photo features a pretty pair of shades.
