Throwbacktion: Jeremy Scott X Linda Farrow

On one of my go-to photo Tumblrs, Suicide Blonde, I stumbled upon this Mario Testino shot for the March 2008 UK Vogue. Natalia Vodianova is pictured wearing the outlandish flip-up Jeremy Scott X Linda Farrow "Oh Mickey" sunglasses. Though Natalia is striking, SB rightly notes that the Mickeys real claim to fame is their appearance in the music videos for "Paparazzi" (on Lady Gaga) and "Telephone" (on Beyonce).

The Mickey's are currently sold out on both the Opening Ceremony and Linda Farrow websites -- an impressive feat given their retail price of $460. Knockoffs abound on ebay, however, for those determined to get the look (or to really nail their Gaga Halloween costume).

If you're any sort of serious style website reader, chances are you check theviesociety on the regular. (But I'd hate to assume that and have you miss out on her extravagantly awesome fashion/travel/bacon insights. So if you don't read yet, do soon.) For me, the Vie is a subject matter expert in what's-amazing-right-this-instant and I'm always curious about what she has to say about sunglasses.

This week, theviesociety featured Kerin Rose's Love/Hate Convertible Chain Sunglasses "for those of you constantly losing your sunglasses [me]." They're not necessarily my style, but these shades are undoubtedly flash. (They've been seen on the likes of Lady Gaga and Rihanna.) You can find them on a-morir Kerin Rose's website for $260 for the upscale yet edgy ladies in your life.

Alternatively, you can get the chain look on the cheap at Hot Topic for $15. I'd like to think Vie would approve.

Lady Gaga performed this week at Rockefeller Center for the Today Show. Host Meredith Vieira got in the spirit by donning Gaga's "Telephone" video cigarette sunglasses.

WORLD PREMIERE: Lady Gaga & Beyonce "Telephone"

Um. So. Lady Gaga. Where to begin? Her nine-minute video with Beyonce for their song "Telephone" was a veritable mess. A gorgeous, murderous mess.

I'll just start with the screenshots. Besides the obvious Chanels, Clubmasters and (still-lit) cigarette sunglasses, there's a few I'll have to get back to you on identifying.

Seriously, you're going to need to click to zoom in on that thing.

Maybe its best just to let you watch the thing for yourself. Let me know if you think the Clubmaster-clad brunette in prison is an un-Gaga'd Gaga. A Stephanie Germanotta, if you will.

January's Elle cover girl, Lady Gaga, is photographed wearing Linda Farrow Vintage shield sunglasses.

The exact style is not available on the Linda Farrow Vintage website, but Prada's Large Shield Sunglasses have a similar style.
