Diana Moldovan Channels Daphne Guinness in D&G

This month's Marie Claire features Diana Moldovan in a Daphne Guinness-inspired spread wearing D&G cat-eye sunglasses.

To get a less dramatic version of the look, Nordstrom has the D&G cat-eye sunglasses in yellow in $135.

Ugh. Gimme Less. A Lot Less.

an Britney Spears please stop doing this? Please? And always in the Dolce & Gabbana 6024s. Why?

If this is a look you're interested in, SunglassesItaly has these sunglasses for $244.

We've seen the DG 6024 sunnies on FlashyShades before. I never thought I'd say this, but Kathy Hilton looks better in them. Way better.

Dolce a Deux

ashionistas, now I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but there are two ways you can wear the unabashedly wagtastic Dolce and Gabbana logo sunglasses. Do you prefer to start with the good or the bad?

DOLCE DONE WELL

Let's go ahead and start with the positive. There is the playful, retro approach, exemplified this week by Emmy winner Katherine Heigl in Dolce & Gabbana 6018B sunglasses. I don't even like medical dramas, but I find myself interested in her seemingly down-to-earth style in spite of myself.

Here the logo takes a backseat to the old school shape of these DG frames. They are available for £120 at sunglasses-shop.co.uk.

WHEN DOLCE GOES HORRIBLY, HORRIBLY AWRY

Sunglasses "really do, as the fashion magazines say, hide a multitude of sins," but they cannot be expected to work miracles. And granted, sunnies truly are the least of Britney Spears' many, many worries, but I expect a bit more from someone who rakes in a reported $737,868 a month.

The Last Beautiful Girl

ngelina Jolie and her main squeeze were helicoptered from Manhattan to the Hamptons earlier this weekend to attend a charity dinner.

What other celebrity's paparazzi shots look like outtakes from a high fashion shoot? Not one. There is simply no one else who works a helipad like her.

And, of course, the Dolce & Gabbana DG 6035 sunglasses look great too. They are available on Otticanet for $208.

I think these photos of Angelina wearing them rival the ad campaign starring Coco Rocha. What do you think?

The Lesser of Two Hiltons

'm not sure if you know this, but Nicky Hilton is super cool. She buys lots of things and is really pretty and doesn't need no stinkin' Kevin Connelly.

Last Thursday, she spent some quality shopping time with her mother and every girl's dream shopping buddy, Brandon Davis.

Nicky and the elder Hilton donned their flashy best for the excursion.

On Nikki, Tom Ford 0010 Farrah's:
Cost: $242
Colors: Tortoise, Black
Retailer: SunglassesItaly

On Kathy, Dolce & Gabbana 6024B:
Cost: $257
Colors: Brown, Black, Turquoise, Orange, Purple
Retailer: SunglassesItaly

If this was a shades-off, Nicky would clearly be the victor. How can one go wrong in a pair of Tom Fords? Mrs. Hilton is -- how do I put this nicely? -- a bit much in those shades, black leggings, and ballet flats.

This Week in DG

hree of Hollywood's hottest took their Dolce and Gabbana eyewear, well, everywhere this week.

Jessica Alba is currently on location in Vancouver, where the sequel to Fantastic Four is filming. This weekend, she was photographed offset with her puppy and her producer boyfriend, Cash Warren.

I'm glad she isn't neglecting her eyes, even in what looks like a chilly Canadian afternoon. Here, Ms. Alba is wearing luxurious open-temple Dolce & Gabbana 6007B sunglasses.

Cost: $224
Colors: Black, Green, Blue, Red, Brown, Tortoise
Retailer: SunglassesItaly

A hemisphere away, Angelina Jolie also shielded herself from the sun's rays in Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. As reported earlier this week, Ms. Jolie is in India to film A Mighty Heart, which is based on the memoirs of Mariane Pearl, the widow of slain journalist Daniel Pearl.

Wearing Dolce & Gabbana 6006B's, she is just a model number away from Ms. Alba. Their logo is quite small, but still flashy. The more I see of these shades, the more I like them. Well played, Ms. Jolie, well played.

At right, she was also sporting them alongside her better half, Brad Pitt, on the rooftop of the Taj Lake Palace hotel in Udaipur, India.

Cost: $202
Colors: Red, Black, Tortoise, White, Yellow, Green, Pink, Beige
Retailer: SunglassesItaly

Returning stateside, Katie Holmes completes the D&G trifecta. On Saturday, she was photographed shopping at Barney's. I can't wait until I'm famous, so I can cruise department stores in my sunglasses.

[Source: GossipRocks]

In addition to her black nail polish (which I was a bit surprised to see gracing the fingers of the future Mrs. Tom Cruise), Ms. Holmes is wearing the D & G 3003 model. If this look seems familiar, its because she wore it to the Chanel runway show with Victoria Beckham.
Cost: $141
Colors: Purple, Beige, Striated Blue, Dark Havana, Black (as seen here)
Retailer: SunglassesItaly

Three is a trend. Dolce and Gabbana's fashionable eyewear is in style in Hollywood and across the globe, it seems.

Angelina Makes My Life Easier

ast week, Angelina Jolie continued her globe-spanning. In India, where she is filming A Mighty Heart, she and baby Shiloh caused quite a stir.

[Source: TMZ]

As per usual, Angelina cut a striking figure. I love her Dolce & Gabbana 6006B's. If you are going to shield your eyes from all of the world's cameras, these are the pair to do it in.

Cost: $202
Colors: Red, Black, Tortoise, White, Yellow, Green, Pink, Beige
