More Wayfarers? Really?

thought we had all put our heads together and agreed that we were done with Wayfarers. Stella McCartney was, obviously, not informed and sent models Sheila Marquez and Maryna Linchuk down her Spring/Summer 2008 runway in them.

Backstage Flash

tepping up his backstage behavior (as compared with his recent award show tantrums), Kanye West has been making the rounds at the Paris shows. Luckily, he left his Alain Mikli white plastic blinders at home.

Here he is at John Galliano and Alexander McQueen.

Peggy Guggenheim Lives at Sonia Rykiel

onia Rykiel unleashed a torrential outpouring of sunglasses in her Spring Summer 2008 show in Paris this week. The shades were in the cat-eye style of Peggy Guggenheim, which seems to be a bit of a trend this season.

HP Makes Good

've given Hayden Panettiere some guff before, but she actually looks pretty cute in these Ray-Ban RB 4087 sunglasses. So, my apologies, H.

You can pick them up on Otticanet.com for $117.

Sartorially Speaking

he maestro of street style, The Sartorialist, was a contributor to this month's British Elle.

The text regarding the Bottega Veneta sunglasses includes one of my least favorite phrases in the English language:
"price on request"

I am into these Bottega Veneta 59/S for $265 on bottegaveneta.com.

Feel Pretty

o the already quite swan-like models seem to be carrying themselves with a bit more grace while wearing Thomas Maier's lovely and beautiful Spring/Summer 2008 collection for Bottega Veneta? I know I would be.

Striking.

I Love an Opener

omina Lanaro opened for John Galliano's Spring/Summer 2008 Show for Christian Dior, wearing what is emerging as the trend of the season: circular, cartoonish sunglasses. [See Also: Paul Smith's "Hockney Meets Bloomsbury."]

At first, I didn't recognize her. But then I realized: I've seen that shaded face before (Gucci Autumn/Winter 2007). I've even seen her in similar frames (again, Paul Smith). So, my bad, Romina.

Denisa Dvorakova also rocked them out. Please to enjoy.

A-Ok Iek

lthough most of the main runway girls walked in Frida Giannini's Spring 2008 Gucci show, only one made the bookish sunglasses work.

Thank you, Iekeliene Stange.

Donatella's Doppelgängers

ometimes, a designer's collection is so very similar to their own look, that it is difficult to imagine them being able to dress themselves at all if their clothing line did not exist. Donatella Versace's Spring 2008 collection was a prime example of that, in my opinion. And Donatella looks better than ever.

There is something streamlined Cazal about these sunglasses that I really like. I can't wait to see them off the runway.
