Hall & Hamm Do W

Stefano Tonchi's first issue of W has arrived and its untouched, sophisticated feel is quite nice. But then again, who could find fault with a Don Draper cover? The "Talk of the Town" feature includes Jon Hamm and his The Town co-star, Rebecca Hall, modeling some glorious sunglasses.

Ray-Ban could easily crop this picture as their ad campaign.


And Ms. Hall isn't so bad herself in these sunglasses from Selima Optique.

Lara Stone: Suddenly a Super

You've really got to hand it to Lara Stone, who is the cover model for and profiled in ("Fashion's It Girl") this month's W. Here in New York, she has been praised as "the anti-model" by Cathy Horyn, but she is perhaps best known for being the only model featured in the "all-Lara" February 2009 edition of French Vogue. In fact, editress Carine Roitfeld has described her as a muse, saying: “Sometimes a girl just touches you.”

That said, let's take a look back at some of Lara's flashier moments. Below, her campaign in 2007 as the face of Givenchy, where she made her major modeling debut.

The Beckhams, that is. Had my own W arrived late, the postman would have had a severe talking to. It did not, and "American Idols" was all the glorious WAG-iness I had hoped for.

And what better way to herald the Becks' arrival, than by showcasing her own sunglasses (in fact, the pair she is wearing).

Although, I suppose the Los Angeles Times' "Image" cover and profile does announce her 90210-ness quite nicely.

In it, she credits sunglasses as essential to her beauty regime:

“I just throw on the Chanel sunglasses, which really do, as the fashion magazines say, hide a multitude of sins.”

Here's To... Agyness Deyn

he model that seems to most resonate with the current fashion moment is none other than Agyness Deyn. No one wears the bob so well and no other face makes androgyny quite so pretty.

Ms. Deyn is featured in January's W:

Ms. Deyn's bone structure makes her an excellent model for sunglasses. Even in Lanvin's oversized wayfarer style, she wears the shades and not vice versa. Here are some pictures of her having some fun with the shades backstage at their Spring/Summer '07 show.
