Images from Céline's Fall 2010 campaign have emerged, featuring Sigrid Agren and Emma Balfour in supersized wayfarers and glammed-up retro cat-eyes. Just as last season, the ads were shot by Juergen Teller in his signature aesthetic: intentional overexposure with tons of white space.
That said, I'm always stoked to see innovative sunnies on the runway. And with Fashion Week in full swing here in New York, I'll be keeping an eye out for them.
Alexander Wang's sunglasses, a collaboration with Linda Farrow, were made of velvet, of all things.

Can't help but think that the L.A. Times is spot on when it predicts: "And with his knack for starting trends, come fall, expect to see plenty of backpacks and velvet sunglasses on the scene."
